SPX AI¶
Version 1.0.1 · Windows 64-bit
Everything SPX offers, with artificial intelligence integration that automates the process, reads PDFs intelligently and runs commands to generate pile caps and piles.
Project limits¶
What it adds to SPX¶
-
Intelligent PDF reading
Automatic extraction of boreholes from PDF reports, interpreting the layout — not just the text.
-
DWG/DXF plan import
Reads the foundation plan and recognises the position of the piles, so coordinates don't have to be entered by hand.
-
Generation commands
Generate pile caps and piles by command, instead of filling in field after field.
-
3D stratigraphic modelling
Three-dimensional ground profile and a virtual borehole at an intermediate position.
Documentation¶
SPX AI contains SPX in full. The documentation follows the same logic as the rest of the line: the SPX manual and formulations apply without reservation, and only the features exclusive to SPX AI are documented here.
-
PDF reading, plan import, generation commands, assistant and virtual borehole — with the precautions each one requires.
-
Interface, borehole, geotechnical results, structural analysis, design, detailing and report.
-
Identical. The AI automates the input and the model setup; it does not change the calculation.
-
The bibliography, shared by all three.
The AI does not take part in the calculation¶
Where artificial intelligence acts
It is worth being explicit, because it is the first question of anyone evaluating the product: the artificial intelligence in SPX AI acts on the data input and the model setup — reading a report, recognising piles in a plan, generating pile caps by command.
The calculation remains the same as in SPX: Aoki-Velloso, Décourt-Quaresma, Teixeira, Cintra & Aoki, finite elements, NBR 6118. No result comes from a statistical model.
What changes is how long it takes to get there — and, as a consequence, how much of your time is left for checking.
When it pays for itself¶
SPX AI is justified by volume. On a site with fifteen boreholes and eighty pile caps, typing in the input is most of the work, and that is what the automation eliminates.
On a small project — two boreholes, half a dozen pile caps — SPX does the job with the same quality.
